Favorites of the Month: April 2017

Hey friends!

If you follow me on Instagram, you know I love to (enthusiastically) share new products, resources, and tools I've found and love on my Insta stories from time to time. I thought it would be fun to condense all of those products into one post each month so you can see them all and get the details in one handy place!

So without further ado, here are my Favorites of the Month for April 2017! (P.S. There are no affiliate links in this post and none of these are sponsored!)

Cultivate What Matters Write the Word Journal

Why I'm Obsessed:

This easy, heartfelt daily devotional tool has helped me look forward to quiet time with the Lord.

Where you can find it:

In the Cultivate What Matters shop. They come in five different colors and themes and they're almost sold out for the season! I chose the yellow journal, the theme of which is "Cultivate Joy."

I'll be honest with you: daily devotionals are hard for me. I've always struggled with keeping a consistent quiet time routine and after accidentally missing one, always felt ashamed (especially when comparing myself to faith-led friends on Instagram who love their devos). A good friend recommended that I try the "Write the Word" journal that Lara Casey created, and I decided I didn't have anything to lose. I'm so happy to tell you I've been pleasantly surprised... and I'm in LOVE. There are no crazy-long lists of journal prompts for a single day and every day starts fresh with a new theme instead of building on one that you missed. You just handwrite the passage the journal gives you, note what you're grateful for and what's on your heart, and set an intention word for your day. It's seriously a breath of fresh air, and after just a week of using it I find myself eager to journal for the day. I've found my new favorite quiet time tool and I'm so happy to share it with you!

Colourpop Cosmetics Super Shock Eyeshadow

Why I'm Obsessed:

It's the ULTIMATE busy-girl hack.

Where you can find it:

On Colourpop's website. Make sure to subscribe to their email list for great deals!

This low-maintenance eyeshadow is so creamy and soft, applies with just your fingertips (yep, no brushes necessary), and lasts ALL DAY LONG when I tap it into my lid after applying only my $2 e.l.f. Shadow Lock Eyelid Primer underneath! My favorite part about Colourpop besides the quality of the eyeshadows, liquid lips, and blushes? The ultra-budget-friendly prices! An eyeshadow on its own is just $5, liquid lips that last all day are $6, they have great sales all the time, and you can even purchase eyeshadow combos and save big (that's what I did)! My favorite eyeshadow combination at the moment is "Truth" (a shimmery champagne) on the inner corner of my lid, "Bill" (a matte lavender) on my outer lid, and "Cricket" (a sparkly dark purple) in my crease and outer corner.

Old Navy Jersey-Knit Striped Dress

Why I'm Obsessed:

I love that I can wear the world's comfiest dress AND feel put together at the same time.

Where you can find it:

As summer gets closer, Old Navy is running out of these dresses fast. You may be able to find your favorite color in your size at an Old Navy Store, but you can also visit their website to shop online!

I. LOVE. this. dress. The comfort level of the super-soft fabric is OUT OF THIS WORLD. Wearing it feels like a LUXURY. And guess what? It's from OLD NAVY. At the time of this post and the time I bought mine, it was on sale for $15 (originally $30). It's got the cutest tie-neck detail on the back and I love the fit and flare shape. It's seriously so flattering and so easy to dress up or down. It's perfect for working in the office, meeting with a client, or hanging out at home. I would wear this dress every day if I could. In fact, I just went back to Old Navy when they went on sale again and got a second one in heather gray.

Donut Shop Keurig Cups

Why I'm Obsessed:

It makes my coffee addiction a whole lot cheaper!

Where you can find it:

Your local grocery store, Target, or Costco (cheaper in bulk!)

My sister and I got Keurig machines for Christmas almost four years ago. I have to admit, it wasn't an immediate love affair. Fortunately, my sister had me try her favorite K-cup flavor (Donut Shop) before I sold my machine out of frustration, and I liked it so much it convinced me to keep my Keurig. Now I use it ALL the time, and I love it because it helps me save money (all those Starbucks trips can get expensive!) and it's always on hand.
